4 Star Rating ...And they REFUSE to do a reunion show. Tsk.
Classic Lillingtons punk goodness. I keep vowing, "Ok. I'm going to change the CD's in my car out today--time for a change." And then "The Too Late Show" just winds up right back in there. Love the hooky, distinctly Lillingtons punk sound and the equally signature "comic book fodder" lyrics. A really good album.

5 Star Rating Going out on top
Better than Death by Television. I love this CD. Very catchy and entertaining. Mars vs Hollywood, I hear Static, Vaporize My Brain and Target Earth are priceless. Fun to listen to and actually cheers me up when I'm down. I'll miss these guys. I hope the last song is an indication they'll again reunite.

4 Star Rating Good, but not their best
If you've heard the Lillingtons, you know what to expect; there is nothing really new and for them, that's fine. The lyrical content covers the same ground: spies, monsters and other comic-book material. The lyrics are on par with their best work, no complaints there. That last star is missing because this album just isn't as solid as its predecessor, Death by Television. It's very catchy, but not as many of the songs are as memorable. There is quality (Zombies, All I Hear is Static, Gunbullet, Charlies Goes to Cambodia, etc) but there are a few songs that seem forced and unremarkable, resembling filler rather than quality (EX: Do It USSR). Still, this album is fun, energetic and memorable, it just isn't as solid as Death by Television, their best album.

5 Star Rating They're back, and it's all good
I saw the Lillingtons years ago at the Black Cat in DC, and they were opening for someone who I don't even remember now. I was blown away. I was crushed when I found out they had broken up. Death by Television is one of my all time favorite albums from anyone ever, and I have to say that the Too Late Show measures up well. Aliens, zombies, kids, they are all back. Just buy it.
